Localization Portfolio
Good day! I'm a Spanish (Spain) videogame localizer. Below, you will see all the projects I have helped translate to my language.
Check them out!
Rivals of Aether 2
A platform fighter by Aether Studios released in late 2024, with its development still ongoing.
As a localizer for Offbrand Games, I'm responsible for its entire ES-ES translation.

You can check the game out on Steam.
Character Select
This is the in-game Character Select Screen.
In-game tutorials. Technical names are translated, but they're also being mentioned in their original english words, as fighting game communities will most likely use those in online talks.
Game emotes, used in player quick chat.
Since players will use these emotes playing on different languages, the meaning has to stay consistent.
Steam achievements for the game, which are full of jokes.
Aethermancer
A roguelike monster tamer by Moi Rai Games in Early Access.
As a localizer for Offbrand Games, I'm responsible for its entire ES-ES translation.

You can check the game out on Steam.
Battles
In-Battle skill descriptions are internally made up of several chained variables.
Character Lvl Up screen example, with many trait descriptions.
Character-to-character conversation example.
Rain World
A very unique game with a not so great official translation. As part of my Youtube videos about the game, I've unnofficially localized almost all of the game's lore text and character conversations for people to enjoy inside and outside my videos.
Pearls
An example of a text of lore inside a pearl, an in-game collectible.
One of the game's transmissions about 2 characters speaking to each other.
A conversation that one of the game's characters has with the player.
Rivals of Aether
A platform fighter by Aether Studios released in late 2017. The game continued having updates for several years after that.

Towards the end of its development, me and a friend worked for Aether Studios to localize the game to Spanish. This translation was added to the game and as of now, it is selectable in the game's settings.

You can check the game out on Steam.
Main Menu
The game's main menu, in Spanish.
One of the game's tutorials. We made sure technical names were mentioned with their original english words, as fighting game communities will most likely use those in online talks.
The game's story mode was completely localized.
ABOUT ME
I'm someone who cares about language. When I was young, so many movies, tv series, and even videogames were expertly localized here in Spain. But today's world has changed, and with it, most localizations have taken a heavy hit. Today, it is more common than ever to find bad translations even in the most well produced works.

This slowly damages and degrades our culture, and as our vocabulary merges with a now interconnected world, things have begun to be lost to time. Which is why it's important to me that this work is done right.

That being said, I do more than to localize games! I'm also a Web Developer, Youtuber, Streamer, and I sometimes dabble on stream production for live tournaments, as well as being the owner of RoA's Spanish and European communities.
